These healthy frozen yoghurt raspberry hearts make a perfect frozen snack for Valentine’s Day, or any day that you want to show your kids a little bit of love. With just two ingredients they really couldn’t be easier to make.
For some reason this year I have embraced the whole pinkness of Valentine’s Day in a way that I’ve never wanted to before. Maybe it’s age, maybe it’s having a daughter who, while not a particularly “pink” child, is obsessed with hearts, flowers, butterflies and the like. When she saw these healthy frozen yoghurt hearts she literally squealed with excitement.
On the other hand her older brother took one look at these, turned his nose up and walked off. And the toddler insisted on waiting until they’d melted before eating them with a spoon. Each to their own I suppose! I swear my kids have made a deal to never all like the same thing.
The best thing about these is just how easy they are to make. They literally take two minutes to mix everything together and then a couple of hours in the freezer. You could use a different kind of freeze dried fruit or I saw this recipe today by Searching for Spice which uses jam to make them different colours.
A silicone mould is the best thing to use when making frozen yoghurt shapes as it peels off really easily. I used this heart shaped one* to make these. I’ve also used the same mould recently to make vegan white chocolates over on my other blog, Cook Veggielicious.

Here’s how to make healthy frozen yoghurt raspberry hearts:
Raspberry frozen yoghurt hearts
- 150 g natural plain yoghurt
- 1 6g tube of freeze dried raspberries
Place the yoghurt into a small mixing bowl.
Tip in the freeze dried raspberries and mix well with a spoon.
Using a teaspoon transfer to a silicone heart shaped mould. Use the back of the spoon to gently push it down to try to avoid any air holes.
Freeze for 3-4 hours or until frozen solid.
Carefully remove from the mould and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
