Raw chocolate brownie healthy cake pops made from all natural ingredients with no added refined sugar. Easy to make and fun to decorate.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 250 g dates ideally medjool*, roughly chopped
  • 100 g cashew nuts use sunflower seeds if allergies
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder or cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

To decorate

  • Sprinkles, desiccated coconut or melted chocolate optional

Instructions
 

  • Place 250g chopped dates, 100g cashews or sunflower seeds, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon maple syrup into a food processor and pulse until it comes together in one big sticky lump.
  • Lightly oil your hands and roll them out into 12 small balls. Don't make them too big or they'll be too heavy for the cake pop sticks.
  • Put your sprinkles or desired topping in a bowl and roll the balls in it to cover.
  • Place a cake pop stick or lolly stick in the centre of each cake pop.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

  1. *If not using medjool dates your dates may need to be soaked in hot water for 20 minutes before starting this recipe.
