Serve up a chocolate smoothie bowl for breakfast and you’ll get smiles all round! Deceptively healthy, this chocolate smoothie bowl is irresistible. A breakfast treat that the whole family can enjoy. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
2tablespoonscocoa powderor cacao or raw cacao powder
2frozen sliced bananas
1tablespoontahinior nut butter
1tablespoonflax seeds or chia seeds, optional
2dateschopped
150mloat milk (you may need up to 200ml)or milk of your choice
1teaspoonvanilla extract
To serve
Blueberries
Chia seeds
Hazelnuts
Or toppings of your choice
Instructions
First soak your hazelnuts in boiling water for 20 minutes.
Drain and place in your blender along with 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 2 frozen sliced bananas, 1 tablespoon tahini (or nut butter), 1 tablespoon flax or chia seeds, 2 chopped dates, 150ml oat milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Blend until smooth. Check the thickness - you are looking for the consistency of a very thick milkshake*. If you prefer it to be a bit thinner add a little more milk and blend again.
Serve with your favourite toppings.

*If it is too thin add more frozen banana
