Nut free granola with coconut, cherry and sunflower seeds
A delicious nut free granola made with coconut, cherry and sunflower seeds. Perfect for anyone with a nut allergy or for sending in a lunchbox to a nut free school.
- 300 g jumbo oats
- 100 g sunflower seeds
- 50 g dried coconut flakes
- 1 tbsp hemp hearts optional
- 100 ml sunflower oil
- 100 ml maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g dried cherries
Pre-heat the oven to 120°C (fan)/140°C/gas mark 1.
Line two baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
Place 300g jumbo oats, 100g sunflower seeds, 50g dried coconut flakes, 1 tbsp hemp hearts, 100ml sunflower oil, 100ml maple syrup and 1 tsp vanilla extract in a bowl and mix well.
Spread out on to the baking trays in a thin layer.
Bake for 20 minutes, stir well, and then return to the oven for another 20 minutes.
Allow to cool completely on the tray then mix with 100g dried cherries and store in an airtight container.
