Raw berry bliss balls

These raw berry bliss balls are everything you want from a sweet treat - gooey, more-ish and delicious. Even better they're really good for you - with no added sugar and a healthy portion of fruit. Suitable for vegans.

  • 50 g berries blackberries or raspberries work well
  • 10 medjool dates or 175g ordinary dates plus a splash of water
  • 50 g desiccated coconut plus extra for rolling
  • 100 g oats the original recipe calls for 200g but I prefer a stickier texture so I reduced this
1 vanilla bean, scraped
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  1. If your dates are dry soak them for an hour or so in a little boiling water. You won't need to do this if you're using medjool dates.
  2. Blend the oats in a food processor until they're the consistency of flour. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until fully combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 16 balls and roll each ball in desiccated coconut until fully coated.
  4. Freeze for 30 minutes then place in the fridge until you're ready to serve them.
