A quick and easy blueberry compote that makes a delicious and healthy breakfast or dessert. Perfect with granola. No added sugar.
I like to add chia seeds to my compote to give it a thicker consistency. Chia seeds are a good source of nutrients, including protein and minerals.
Adding them to compote makes it more spreadable so you have the option to use it like a jam if you wish. Here's another recipe for mixed recipe chia jam.
However, if you don't want to add them or don't have any to hand you can leave them out - your compote will be delicious but have a slightly runnier consistency.
